there was only one road north and south during the flooding in june. these are the pics taken on our way out of town for the 4th of july. (these pictures were taken about 2 weeks after the crest of the river)

the traffic was a little crazy and backed up
the hoeven baseball fields and new housing development
the gravel pits and crane under water
the road built up between westhope and souris. the water was right up to the road and they did close the road for about 24 hours after we got across.

the current of the water was moving SOOOOOO fast under the bridge....it was kinda scary!!!
